‘Container’ handpainted silk crepe de chine scarf Carole Waller ‘Container’ is a book of poems by Gary Wood – and he loved the word because it reminded him of the comment ‘I am not contained between my hat and boots’ from Walt Whitman. Scarves wrap the body and contain it in colour. This is a silk crepe fluid scarf painted in my favourite hues of deep blacky blue with rusty orange, yellows, cream, turquoise and lime with the word ‘container’ printed in amongst the painted marks. Handwash or dry clean. Iron while slightly damp if possible. ‘Container’ handpainted silk crepe de chine scarf Carole Waller Measurements: Length : 185cm Width : 45cm Carole Waller art to wear: Carole is known for her collections of original painted clothes and scarves which she has been making since 1986 – and in 2026 moves towards painting on paper and cloth for the walls – and using this imagery to design collages for printed scarves in silk and cashmere.
