I had used my Ninja for years until the latch to engage the motor broke, leaving me on the hunt to find an affordable replacement quickly. I use it mainly to make dog food for my 2 pups, so chopping twice a day. This item has a more powerful motor than my ninja, and the bowl is bigger, making it so much easier to use – no need to break food into small pieces anymore! I’ve owned it for only a couple months or so and noticed the blades have rust! I rinse the bowl and blades after use, washing them each day with dish soap, let them air dry – not anything different than I did with my ninja. The ninja never had rust in all the years I used it. This one rusted right away. I’m disappointed because otherwise, this was a great purchase!
